On 28th June at the Events Centre, our talented Te Roopu Manaaki competed in the Te Arawa Secondary Schools Kapa Haka Competitions. This competition involved 5 Te Arawa schools and 4 Taupo/Turangi schools. The standard was extremely high and Te Roopu Manaaki represented WHHS with pride and honour.
In 2010, Te Roopu Manaaki is one of 3 teams that will represent our region at the National Secondary Schools Kapa Haka Competitions that will be held in Rotorua.
Te Roopu Manaaki tutors, Dan Vaka and Taumata Soloman, are especially pleased with the outcomes as the group has put in huge energy and many, many hours of practice to produce a disciplined and passionate performance on the day, as you will see from the following results:
